Richard Ben-Veniste, From Watergate to 9/11

Richard Ben-Veniste, veteran Washington attorney and member of the 9/11 Commission (formally known as the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States), has published his memoir, The Emperor’s New Clothes: Exposing the Truth from Watergate to 9/11 (Thomas Dunne Books, 2009). The book delves into his involvement in the prosecution of the Watergate cover-up, Bill and Hillary Clintons’ Whitewater defense, and his service on the 9/11 Commission.

He uses a few of my 9/11 Commission photos of Commission co-chairs Tom Kean and Lee Hamilton, the Commission’s executive director, Philip Zelikow, and INS inspector Jose Melendez-Perez, in the book’s photo spread.
