Time Lapse of Tourist Season at the Lincoln Memorial

Summer is Washington’s prime tourist season. As bus loads descend on the nation’s capital, many of them gravitate to the immense space that makes up the National Mall, where many of the monuments and Smithsonian museums are located. And the region handles this annual pilgrimage with aplomb.

In this time lapse video, summer tourists swarm over the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on the Western end of the National Mall.

Time lapse taken with a Nikon D300, tripod, and Nikkor 18-200mm.
