GoPro traditionally keeps pretty tight control over the prices that retailers can offer, but you can still find good GoPro deals around the place. I try to keep an eye on what’s on offer and update them here. Whether you’re looking to upgrade or to buy your first GoPro, here’s a roundup of some of the better deals on GoPro cameras I’ve come across lately.
GoPro HERO8 Black Deals
As of the beginning of November, the GoPro HERO8 Black is now out. GoPro has set the MSRP at $399.99.
- Get $100 Off HERO8 Black with the TradeUp Offer You can get $100 off the GoPro HERO8 Black when you trade in any old digital camera, in any condition, any brand. It doesn’t even have to still work or power on. GoPro takes care of the cost of shipping in your old camera to them. When they receive your old camera, they’ll send you out a shiny new HERO8 Black with free 2-day shipping. It brings the price down to $299.99. This deal is only available at GoPro.com.
- Camera + Accessory Bundle at B&H Photo. B&H Photo has put together a particularly good value bundle of camera and accessories. For $448.50, you get the HERO8 Black, a 64GB SanDisk Extreme microSD card, an extra battery, GoPro’s Handler floating hand grip, and a Lowepro DashPoint AVC 60 II hard-shell carry case. It ends November 9, and you can find it here. They also have a Deluxe Kit that includes several other accessories, including a 64GB SanDisk Extreme memory card, a dual battery charger and an extra battery, 3-Way Multifunction Arm, the Smart Remote, the new tempered glass screen protectors for the HERO8 Black, a suction cup mount, and The Handler floating handle grip–all for $669.50.
- GoPro HERO8 Black Bundle for $449.99. GoPro.com has a bundle that gives you $50 of bonus value. You get the new HERO8 Black, plus Shorty grip, Head Strap, a 32GB SD card and spare battery for $449.99. If you bought those separately, it would come to around $499. The Head Strap is probably the least essential accessory there for many of us, but the others–especially the spare battery and memory card–are pretty much essentials (the camera comes with one battery included; this is a spare, which comes in very handy given how quickly you’re likely to burn through the battery power when shooting). It also includes free 2-day shipping within the US. You can find the deal at GoPro.com.
GoPro HERO7 Black Deals
The HERO7 Black has been superseded by the HERO8 Black, but it’s still a very capable camera. For many shooters, especially if you’re looking to for a great camera at an especially attractive price, picking up a HERO7 Black would be an excellent option. And you can still find it widely available, often for a good deal.
Get HERO7 Black for $279.99 with the TradeUp Offer. GoPro also has a tradeup deal on the HERO7 Black. Just as with the HERO8 Black offer you can trade in any old digital camera, in any condition, any brand. Whether it works or not. GoPro takes care of the cost of shipping in your old camera to them. When they receive your old camera, they’ll send you out a brand new HERO7 Black with free 2-day shipping. It takes $50 off the current MSRP of the HERO7 Black, bringing it down to $279.99. This deal is only available at GoPro.com. When you first go to the link, it will be featuring the HERO8, but you can switch it to the HERO7 Black using the selector when you scroll down.
GoPro HERO7 Black for $329.99. Now that the HERO8 Black is out, GoPro has dropped the price of the model it replaces, the HERO7 Black, down to $329.99. It includes a free memory card and 2-day shipping. You can find the deal at GoPro.com.
