Here are video bitrate charts for the GoPro HERO11 Black Mini when capturing video footage.
The bitrate that the files are encoded with varies based on the combination of resolution, framerate (fps), and aspect ratio selected, as well as whether you’ve selected the Standard, High, or 10-bit option in the specific bitrate setting.1
These are all for H.265 encoded video and are in Mbps (megabits per second).2 There is a lot of overlap here with the larger HERO11 Black, although there are some differences in the features available (eg. no Looping Video or Extended Battery modes on the Mini and no Easy Controls on the larger model). In the high-bitrate modes, you’ll need an SD card that’s fast enough for the HERO11 Black Mini.
Pro Controls Settings
The Mini’s Easy Controls option consists of some basic presets set to versatile video capture modes. By design, the available options are simplified and trimmed down in this mode.
The HERO11 Black Mini does not have a Looping Video mode (the larger modes does).
Things Worth Knowing
If you’re not seeing all of these video resolution/framerate combinations available, make sure your camera’s firmware is up to date.
What is the maximum video bitrate of the GoPro HERO11 Black Mini?
The HERO11 Black Mini has a maximum video bitrate of 120Mbps. That’s the same as the larger HERO11 Black and is the higher than any previous models of GoPro cameras.
