Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals aren't just about buying large screen TVs anymore. App and software services have jumped on the bandwagon too, and you can get some great deals--including on things related to Lightroom.
I've put together a separate Black Friday deals for photographers list with a more general focus, but there are enough that might be of specific interest to Lightroom users that I thought it worth focusing on them here.
It's a running list. I'll do my best to add and update as new deals are announced and I hear about them.
20% off Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps plan. Adobe has several tiers of subscription. This Black Friday special is for All Apps plan, which includes Lightroom and Photoshop as well as the other 18 or so apps in the Adobe family. (There's also a cheaper Photography plan that just has Lightroom and Photoshop, but that's not part of the Black Friday deal.) The discounted rate applies to annual plans paid monthly as well as prepaid. The deal ends November 24.
Plugins & Presets
50% off Contrastly Complete Lightroom Presets Bundle. This is a collection of over 1,100 develop presets for Lightroom with a very wide range of styles for lots of different types of photography, including wedding, portrait, landscape, black and white, lomography, and seasonal. Compatible with Lightroom 4 through Classic CC (but not the new mobile apps). No coupon code needed. Expires 11/30.
50% off 2 Lil' Owls Lightroom Presets. They offer a number of different preset bundles as well as training guides. Use the coupon code BLACK50. Expires 11/27.
90% off Lightgram Complete Collection Lightroom Presets Bundle. Lightgram is offering their bundle of 360+ Lightroom presets for $49 (compared to $502 if you where to buy them individually). The bundle includes several sub collections, such a Magazine Style, Magic Autumn, and Instagram for Lightroom. The presets are compatible with Lightroom versions 4 through the brand new Classic CC (but not the mobile apps). I've posted on the Instagram filters before--they're included in this larger bundle. The deal runs now through November 25. No coupon code needed.
$10 off MacPhun Luminar 2018 and Aurora HDR 2018. The $10 off part isn't strictly a Black Friday deal--you can get $10 off the popular Lightroom alternative and HDR apps by using my coupon code HAVECAMERA during checkout (works for new licenses and upgrades). As a Black Friday deal, for both Luminar 2018 and Aurora HDR they're adding in some extra bonuses, including presets, ebooks, and training guides. Both of these apps can be used as standalone apps, but they can also be used as plugins for Lightroom. The Black Friday deal runs through November 29.
$30 off Perfectly Clear Complete. Perfectly Clear adds a bunch of different processing methods, presets, and filters, including things like batch automatic corrections. If you've used previous versions, it's worth taking a look at the brand new 3.5 version--they've done a major overhaul and added a lot of new features. It can be used as a standalone app or as a Lightroom plugin. Expires 11/27.
50% off BLURB photo books. I've been a fan of Blurb for a long time, well before they became integrated into Lightroom's Book module. And I've always been impressed with their quality and service; when I want "keeper" books, I make them with Blurb--we have quite a collection on our bookshelf. They're offering 50% off their books with the coupon code FANTASTICFIFTY. Expires 11/29.
20% off PhotoMechanic. PhotoMechanic isn't specific to Lightroom, and there's quite a bit of overlap with what they do. But it has some unique features and virtues that make it a great app to use in your workflow along with Lightroom, especially if you're working with large numbers of new images and need to work quickly. I use it for culling the keepers before importing those into Lightroom as well as its excellent metadata tools for adding keywords, captions, and other metadata. PhotoMechanic is super fast and rock solid and used by a lot of photojournalists and sports shooters. Use the coupon code SHOPSPEEDY17 to get the discounted rate; it runs November 22 to 27.
